Nearly 200 young anglers and their families lined the banks of Troost Lake in the heart of Kansas City alongside local union volunteers and retired Kansas City Chiefs running back Priest Holmes for the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance 2nd Annual Greater KC Building and Trades Council ‘Take a Kids Fishing Day’. The event was in partnership with Big Brother Big Sisters of Kansas City, Kansas City Parks, and Priest Holmes Foundation. All youth participants received a free fishing rod they can use for years to come. Thanks to all the union volunteers and sponsors who continually give back to their community and youth.
