Union Contractor Finds New Home

In March of 2020 Delta Innovative Services and DB2 Services moved in to their new home located at the interchange of Kansas Ave and I-635. Delta Innovative Services was established in 1990 in Kansas City, Kansas and has grown to become one of the largest roofing contractors in the Kansas City area. They are proud members of Roofers Local 20 and have earned a reputation for their quality commercial roofing work and commitment to craftsmanship. DB2 Services Incorporated is one of the premier union architectural sheet metal firms in the Kansas City metropolitan area and affiliate of Sheet Metal Local 2.

The existing building was completely gutted and rebuilt from the inside out. New HVAC equipment, improved building insulation, and LED lights were added to make the building more efficient. The roof was redone using various roofing technologies including single ply, modified bitumen, and built-up and gravel. The renovated building has over 100 new skylights in the warehouse and office space. Delta’s new home boasts 20,000 feet of office space and 65,000 feet of warehouse and manufacturing space. The former shop was 15,000 square feet which housed a warehouse and the corporate office.
The exterior transformation included the use of custom manufactured ACM panels which were manufactured in house using DB2 Services’ new state of the art CNC machine to manufacture exact specifications. The impressive modern exterior is a piece of art where no detail was overlooked.

DB2 Services has acquired state of the art machinery which allows them to manufacture sheet metal products on site in a fraction of the time. The high quality product is produced using leading software technology and state of the art machinery requiring highly skilled operators.

The new complex serves as home for approximately 240 employees across Delta Innovative Services and sister company DB2 Services.

The new 85,000-square-foot headquarters provides ample space for office staff, manufacturing, warehouse and machinist shop. The seven acre tract checked all the boxes when Delta searched for new space. The impressive renovation showed that consideration for employees was a top priority. The space provides sound barriers, superior lighting, HVAC, ventilation, high-tech breakrooms, ice machines, fitness facilities, just to name a few. The renovation focused on the company’s commitment to safety in every aspect. No doubt, the family-owned business views their employees as their greatest assets.
