Truman Medical Centers is nearing completion of their $70 million University Health II project. The 80,000 square-foot facility focuses on patient experience and accessibility. It expects the facility to open in summer 2020. The four-story building, dubbed University Health II, will sit at the intersection of 22nd and Charlotte streets, just south of the first University Health building and will connect to Truman’s Hospital Hill campus via a skybridge. With more than 70 patient exam rooms, the building will host primary-care and women’s health services. The project has provided extensive work for numerous area unions. McCownGordon Construction is the project’s general contractor. During a recent site visit we took the opportunity to speak with some of the workers, photos included.
