The 2021 IBEW Local 53 Riding Group spring ride was held June 5. The IBEW 53 bike group was founded nearly five years ago and has sponsored numerous events to raise money for their union brothers and sisters over the years. The benefit ride included 26 motorcycles and 42 total entries with passengers included. Participants rode roughly 90 miles from The Garage Burgers and Brew in Harrisonville Mo., thru Freeman Mo., The Fishing Dock in Archie, Mo., The Lumberyard in Urich, Mo., Fugly’s in East Lynne, Mo. and back to The Garage, the starting location. The bike group would like to thank all their stops and generous sponsors, Milwaukee Tool, Bashlin Industries, Farwest Line Specialties, Hi-Line Utility, High Voltage Workwear, Slims Cycle Seats, Mike 71 Cycles, Powerhouse Cycle and Dyno. The IBEW 53 bike group would also like to thank all that came out to enjoy the great weather, day of solidarity, and to raise money for a great cause! A total of $2,150 was raised for the NSUJL, National Sisterhood United for Journeymen Linemen. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to help families of fallen and injured lineworkers. They hope to see all on the next ride!
